News:
Hello Aria, congratulations on the release of your second
music video "Embrace it"! How did the recording of
this music video go?
Thank
you! It went great! I loved the concept for this video, and
it was really fun to bring that to life. We went to a beautiful
place to shoot the chorus scenes and I really enjoyed the scenery
there. It was funny because we shot it when it was pretty cold,
and I was wearing these short-sleeve or thin outfits so I had
to act like I wasn't freezing! In the chorus scenes I hold lyric
cards and my hands were so numb by the end of filming that it
was hard to even pick them up! But it was really fun and I love
how it turned out. There were also some personal touches in
the video, for example the Love poster behind me in the verse
scenes was created and painted by my little sister and me. I
also wanted to give a shout out to my fans, my butterflies,
the way I did in my first music video. In my music video for
"I still believe in Fairy Tales", I wore a butterfly
necklace in the chorus scenes. In this music video, I wore a
butterfly shirt in the verse scenes. It's something I plan to
have in all my music videos as a tribute to my fans so always
look out for the butterflies in my videos!

News: What is the meaning behind the video?
This
video follows the story of the song. I get a call from my friend
Cassie and she's telling me how she was put down and I calm
her down. Her picture on my phone is all dark and sad-looking
because she's really not happy with herself and how she is.
Then later in the video she calls me again and we see her picture
is all bright and pretty because she's finally happy with who
she is. We wanted to show that contrast in the few seconds that
it flashes on the screen, which is why she starts out in dark
colors and ends up in bright colors. In the chorus scenes, we
have me in a 60s type outfit and that's to represent the love
movement of the 60s because the song is about loving yourself
and being comfortable with who you are. Also in the chorus scenes,
I hold up cards with the lyrics, not only so the fans can sing
along, but because the chorus is the part with the message of
self-acceptance, so we really wanted to drive that point home.

News: Why was there a delay between the song
release and the video release? Now that it is released officially,
what is your hope for "Embrace it" as a single?
Well,
we put the song out in May on my MySpace page as a preview so
fans could hear it before it was officially released. I also
did a video on my
YouTube channel showing the single artwork and talking a
bit about it. Then it was officially released to radio in December.
There was a delay because there were some personal things that
needed to be taken care of. But everything was taken care of
and we made sure to get the video out as soon as possible! So
it's here now and I'm very excited that everyone will finally
be able to see it! I know my fans have been waiting for it and
so have I!
WCR
News: Now that it is released officially, what is
your hope for "Embrace it" as a single?
I really hope it helps people who are being bullied or who have
a friend being bullied. I hope it helps raise awareness for
such an ugly issue and helps people to realize that they were
born how they are for a reason and they should be proud of who
they are, not cover it up. I hope fans find it relatable and
inspiring! I also hope the plans we have for things to tie into
the song, do well and help people further!
WCR
News: Thank you for your time. Is there anything else
you would like to say to your fans?
Thank you! I would like to say thank you to my fans, my butterflies,
for their support and patience. I hope they all love the video
and song and remember to embrace all they are!
